Abstract Organic–inorganic perovskite crystals (C 6 H 5 C n 2 NH 3 ) PbCl 4 ( = 1: PMA, 2: PEA, 3: PPA, and 4: PBA) were prepared, their scintillation characteristics evaluated. A broad emission peak originating from self-trapped excitons (STE) was observed all of the when excited by 310 nm light. Further, also clearly PBA under X-ray. Moreover, light yields ? -ray calculated to be 1460 (PEA), 439 (PPA), 120 (PBA) photons/5.5 MeV- , yield PEA higher than that a ZnO single crystal. In this article we introduce the notion of n-capable groups. It is shown that every group G admits a uniquely determined subgroup (〖Z^n)〗^* (G) which is a characteristic subgroup and lies in the n-centre subgroup of the group G. This is the smallest subgroup of G whose factor group is n-capable. Moreover, some properties of n-central extension will be studied.
